i love this. [Jul. 21st, 2006|01:24 am] [ music | The Night the Whole World Caught on Fire -- The Feverfew ] So tonight was positively AMAZING. It was the first time I've walked into a Y show in 2 years that I didn't feel like an intruder or lesser than anyone else. Seeing Mike Axler (I screamed when I saw him...I just...agh I love Mike Axler more than almost anyone in that camp, he's such a great person. I wouldn't have survived without him) , Heather, Ruthie and Laura was so wonderful, I can't even explain it. Also seeing all the people who are too old for camp now or are consulers. Like Leah and Liza(I'm surprised she even remembered me, but she quoted me and did my dodo voice hahaha <3 ) and Kimmmm <3 and ALANA FALLIS! <333 and Mike Young =) and Steph Lacker (even though she wsant a camper...but shes still an ocs kiddo.)...and most importantly LAUREN MAHON. I love lauren more than words can explain, justtttt so you're all aware. Also the current campers are still cuties..Britt and Renna and Ilana and Tiff and Pincus x 2 and Jacob Spadaro. They're all so freaking precious. I miss some people so  much, but I'm more than happy to say I don't feel at any loss for stopping those shows. I guess it's like you just reach a point when you outgrow things you used to love. And it comes to the point where you can learn to live without it and grow and become an even better person. This past week or-so I have been the happiest I can remember for so long. Not that I haven't been happy. I just haven't been consistantly happy to this degree for such a long time. It's amazing to wake up in the morning and feel like I'm finally in the right place. To look in the mirror and not pick apart every single imperfection I can find. It's just great to think highly of myself, and amilw a lot...real genuine smiles. I got to spend a lot of time with Susie the past few days, which was amazing, of course, because I missed her so much while she was away. Anyway I'm quite tired, and need to wake up tomorrow. A lot of it is as I explain it to people, a project in hopes of making people happy. To make one person smile when they see You Are Beautiful written somewhere. But there's also another factor in it which has become kind of dear to me, I guess. It's the belief that everyone really is beautiful. It doesn't matter your size, shape, gender, or race. Your measurements, your pants size...it all doesn't matter. You ARE beautiful. All of you. I don't care if you hate me, if I'm not too fond of you. If you're popular, if you're picked on. This is what I do when I'm bored [Jul. 2nd, 2006|11:32 pm] [ music | Last Call -- The Feverfew ] It's been quite a while since I posted something other than a survey. Whatever. It's time to catch up with this thing. So it's summer, finally. Freshman year is over. Woo! Although it probably was one of the best years I've had. Schoolwise, it was okay. I had a few awesome teachers, and a few really sucky ones. I became friends with some amazing people whom i love more than life itself. I guess I'm sad a new school year will probably bring some changes in that, but whatever, whatever happens, happens. Summer also means that my favorite people leave. Hana Susie and Alyssa are all in sleepaway and I miss them so much! But I've spoken to Hana on the phone and through mail! And Susie can get on the internet at Frenchwoods, which is awesome. But yeah, sleepaways a bummer. Besides that, summer's been pretty normal. Hanging out with some pretty awesome kids. I've gotten closer to Leah and Alyssa, who are pretty much beyond amazing and they make me so happy. I've drifted from a few people, but hey, thats all normal. I've made new goals for myself this summer too. I'm going to 1. find the beauty in everyone and have compassion for htem whether i like them or not & 2. not get angry as easily. I made these goals for myself for a couple reasons. The beauty one is because in order to be a part of the You Are Beautiful project, I think everyone really should believe everyone is beautiful, and thats what I'm going to do. And with that I think it'll be easier to not dislike people as much. And I think it's just a good way to make myself a happier person. The goal about being angry is because I feel like anger has no good outcome, ever. Anger has never solved a problem for me, it's never even made it better. It's just another way to make myself happier, I guess. (And Jenn owns life.) I'm seeing Ani Difranco live in 11 days...well actually itll be 10 is less than 30 minutes!!!!! Though we're apart, she's a part of me... [May. 8th, 2006|10:38 pm] [ Current Location | My room? ] [ mood | relieved ] [ music | Molly Smiles ] Sometimes I have those days where the past sucks me in. Today was one of those days. I made the mistake of wallowing in past heartaches. And I guess I'll always have days such as these, the ones where you somehow find a way to question absolutely everything, past present and future. One thing really stuck out today, which is why I'm updating this. Today was a day where I really missed Mari Meyer. Yes, I know its been sometime since she passed away, but that doesn't how much it hurts sometimes. Mari was such a huge role model in my life. She always had this confidence about herself, even as she got really sick. She was always such a strong person, and it makes me wonder how people who suffer so much manage to remain so strong. I guess in times like those you hold on the strength you can. Anyway, back to my point. You'd think as time passed by things like this would become less important. Afterall, Rebecca and I have drifted and it seems like its been forever. But my mind will always wander to her, she had such an effect on my life, I can hardly begin to explain it. And there are moments when I'm with Rebecca and I swear Mari's there too. She's in Rebecca's smile and she's all around us. So here's to an everlasting role model, a strength like no other, and a lovely lovely person. I really hope heavens treating you well, whatever heaven is. The Music Man [Mar. 19th, 2006|01:33 am] [ mood | confused ] [ music | dropping daylight ] So, tonight was the last perfomance of the Music Man at CHS. I was so sad at the end. It sucks thats its over. I seriously don't even know what I'm going to do with all my time. haha. No but seriously, this production has been an amazing expirence. I met so many amazing & talented people. And it was one of the few places I felt I really belonged. So many great memories we're made during rehearsals and performances. I truly will miss hanging out with everyone (give or take a few =]). This show let me get close to so many people I'd never have spoken to if it hadn't been in the show. The people involved, including cast pit crew and teachers are just so amazing, I can't even put it into words. You all made the musicwing/audotorium feel like a home. amazing....and a half [Feb. 18th, 2006|04:16 pm] [ mood | confused ] So I haven't REALLY updated in a while, guess I've been kind of pre-occupied with other things, luckily Feb break means a lot more relaxing, despite the fact i have 454793875 years of homework. I saw COE at the Y last Saturday. It was pretty awesome to see everyone. It made me pretty happy to see you all.  Nothing's too new around here. I've been happy, minus when i was sick a couple days ago. But besides that, it's been pretty awesome. Especially last night, which was hanging out with Nicole and EricLevine. Then sleeping over Nicoles (obviously without Eric). The two of them are pretty much AMAZING and a half. And I love them, theyre the best everrr. I've had a lot on my mind lately, mostly stuff that can be seemingly stupid in the scheme of things that have been on my mind in the past year or so. Nonetheless, theres a lot. I'm still trying to figure out what to do. I don't really know if I'm pissed or upset or I dont care. Thankfully Shainas pretty much amazing in lunch, and Nicole and I talked about a lot last night. I love friends. 14 days til Michelle takes Jenn & I to the city to see Rent on Broadway. I'm pretty psyched about it. Especially considering that we're going the day before my birthday. Woosh. Its late [Jan. 21st, 2006|01:34 am] [ mood | tired ] [ music | Shine <3 - plain white t's ] Yo! Yeah, it's kind of late but oh well, I felt like updating. A lots happened since the last update. On Wed, I had one of the most amazing expiriences in my life. During which, my admiration for Jenn Michelle & especially Kelly grew so much. They are seriously the strongest people in my life, I can't imagine myself had none of them been part of my life. Today was day one of midterms. Math was EASY...oh my gosh, surprising much?! No, seriously, Dryburgh wasnt too much of a dick this time. Umm, then I had english which was easy too. After midterms Hana Eric Matt and I stayed for schedualing stuff. Between Erics singing veggetales and the whole "CHICKEN?! WHY CHICKEN!?" thing, it was pretty great....or just a waste of time. Then Hana and I walked back to my house, then went to Applebees. At which we were prettty stupid, and all the waiters were singing along Michael Jackson (true story I swear). And I almost choked on soda a few times. HAHA, and the waiters name was Mmatt! WITH TWO M's. heckkkk yesssss. Then um, I came home, and was bored for a while. Til I went to Ruby Tuesdays with my family, and like 3497347 fights almost broke out and the little kid next to us had MAJOR gas issues. hah. Then I went to Hanas with BECCAAABOOO! whom I missed a lot! We watched Red Eye, which was pretty awesome. It made me laugh a lot, even though it wasnt funny. Whatever I'm a weird kid.
